Love Where You Work: An Office Romance by Anna Pulley is a romantic adventure. Clare is a mundane beige and neutral tone person who is dealing with a judgmental mother and a skin condition that is driving her insane. However, a splash of color comes into her life in the form of Julia Dawes. It starts as a simple HR meeting but turns into so much more when at the bar 1221. It was supposed to be a meeting but turned into the kiss of a lifetime. Both women want each other but the timing is off and Clare puts a stop to it. With both working for W;nkdIn, Clare is made a guinea pig for their same-sex dating app experience. She is sent on many dates but Julia makes sure that every date Clare goes on is a disaster so that she would fall in love with Julia. Will Julia be successful? Will Clare finally reconcile her feelings for Julia that are as intense as she feels? Will they finally realize that their feelings might be mutual?
Love Where You Work by Anna Pulley is a romantic romp that pulls you in and keeps you entertained throughout. The tension between Julia and Clare is so thick you can cut it with a knife but this experiment by W;nkdIn is ruining Julia’s chances of getting to Clare. It makes you laugh and it makes you scream at them to acknowledge their feelings, but most of all this book keeps you guessing. Will they? Won’t they? It is an amusing story with many little twists and turns thanks to Julia. This is a rom-com that will entertain you from beginning to end. I highly recommend this book it is a romantic rollercoaster with a dash of passion.
