Kara Kotecki introduces readers to Mae, a girl full of emotions. She describes feelings by using various examples so that children can relate to the level of intensity. While it is normal to feel deeply, you should keep your emotions in their rightful place and be able to control them. To maintain everything in order, Mae practices yoga. Mae takes a deep breath, closes her eyes, the world stops, and calm comes over her. Mae and Namaste is a book about relaxation and learning to control emotions, to become stronger physically and mentally. It helps readers to find inspiration in channeling energy through yoga in a positive, appropriate, and consistent way.

This book is particularly valuable because we all want what is best for our children. Teaching them yoga is important because it will help them gain more flexibility and balance, improve their ability to concentrate, become more creative, and sharpen their senses, among many other benefits. I liked the way Kara Kotecki deals with the subject because through meditation and yoga many values are learned, while physical, emotional, and mental strength is acquired. Mae and Namaste explains it perfectly at a level that children can understand. The images convey peace and tranquillity and are relaxing. At the end of the book, there is a section that explains the basic postures so that young readers will be encouraged to practice on their own.
