Author Herb Tillman truly pushes the envelope as he deals with the concept of 'Who are you when no one is watching?' The real issue is 'Are you who you claim to be then?' This is where integrity is developed and the person becomes more like his Heavenly Father. When God sees this individual, He declares that He has something good to work with. Author Tillman in his book: Man-Power: Dare To Discover Yourself does a wonderful job of stretching the reader, allowing them the opportunity to improve and become a better, stronger individual. Discovering who we are in Christ Jesus is such a fulfilling and rewarding opportunity. When we truly decrease and allow Jesus to increase within our lives, we find such peace as we allow more and more of His Spirit to live and dwell within us.
Author Tillman challenges us to understand who we were (where we came from) as well as who we are now (where we are going). He desires us to move past the years before so we can experience the goodness of the Lord in our present day. There is also the discussion that God will never place more upon an individual than they can withstand. The reader must be reminded there is always hope, regardless of how things may appear. This is surely the process to the promised possession God has in store for His children. We must remain focused and move as He desires for us to move, becoming the child of God that would make Him happy.
