Mann Cakes tells the story of two brothers, Tanner and Garrett, and two sisters, Paige and Morgan. Tanner and Garrett had a PC business in the big city, but during their final deployment it burned to the ground with a good friend inside. So they return to their hometown of Beach Pointe and right back on the radars of the two women they can’t seem to forget. But when the boys open up Mann Cakes to compete with, what else, Two Sisters bakery, the heat is on! Mysti Parker has created a wonderfully interesting romance between two sets of siblings with two very different pasts.
One of the things I liked most about Mann Cakes was that the story included quite a few of my favorite tropes, but once I learned of Ty, I couldn’t stop reading until I had the answer! I loved the fact that this story doesn’t focus on just one couple because it was entertaining to see both stories unfold. Tanner and Paige have a long history that includes cheating, while Morgan and Garrett were too shy to give their attraction a chance in high school. But now everyone is grown up and back in Beach Pointe and operating competing bakeries. Let the fun times begin! Mysti Parker presents us with a romance that includes loads of drama, a splash of mystery, and more than enough heat to satisfy your romantic needs. It took a while for the story to really grab my attention, but once I was a few chapters in, I couldn’t put it down and read it in one day.
