The goblin army overruns Isabel with plans to take all of Marlsbeth. Led by the nefarious Lord Gim, the Dark armies will stop at nothing till the land is wiped clean of men and their kind. All that stands between them is King Kristophor and his plan to safeguard the people using the Elders Order. A brotherhood created by the necessity of the situation must come together to find the advocate, the one prophesied to lead them to victory over the armies of Lord Gim, made up of goblins, trolls, and the like. Will this brotherhood succeed? Or will the evil one get his hands on what he covets? Steven David Sims' Marlsbeth: To The Horizon's Edge promises to unlock long-buried secrets and adventure.
Marlsbeth: To The Horizon's Edge is a science fiction fantasy novel written by Steven David Sims. It is initially difficult to understand the storyline because of the way Sims presents it. The origin story is quite thorough but the use of Old English in narrating the story turned a simple process into a chore I initially struggled to understand. Despite this, I cannot imagine any better way to tell such a story. The attention to detail is also note-worthy; Vanzoldim is a perfect example of this. The battles are realistic, the characters have interesting subplots, and the concluding chapter shows signs of an even better sequel in the works. Marlsbeth: To The Horizon's Edge is one novel to look out for. Steven David Sims outdid my expectations with this novel.
