Author Biography

I was born Jacqueline Pansy in 1953 to parents who were traveling with a small circus. The name of the Circus we traveled with was: Clyde Beatty Shows and the movie “Ring of Fire” featured this circus.
After graduating from high school I took dance and ended up having a nine year career as a dancer which included a USO tour for our troops. God Bless our Troops for keeping us safe!

Writing and illustrating children’s stories was something I started for my nieces and nephews. It always touches my heart and I feel humbled when parents tell me that their child will choose my books to read over their other choices, again and again.

I have graduated to writing chapter books for ages 9 to 12 and they have become my passion. I have written a book for the over 40 crowd called, "Menopausalgodzilla". It will have you laughing out loud as you relate. I have co-authored a book, “Fiction and Fact; The Prevaricators Purloined Almanac” with my dad, Gilly Earl Hughes, very enlightening.

I also have what people refer to as a real job. I work at GGRM Law Firm in Las Vegas, Nevada, as an assistant claims specialist. I refer to that job as a hobby!

Menopausalgodzilla by Jacqueline Pansy is a hilarious – but truthful – look at the world of the menopause. Jacqueline leads you through life after 40, a funny yet true story of uncontrollable leaking, from more than one place, the sudden changes in mood and the danger signs for men to be aware of. Along the way, in her wonderfully unique manner, Jacqueline offers some suggestions on how to deal with certain changes – some of them just a little insane and unbelievable. Any woman who has been through or is going through the menopause should read this, as should any man in her life so he knows what to expect – and when to plan his fishing trips!

Jacqueline Pansy has hit the nail well and truly on the head with Menopausalgodzilla. I read the entire book in one sitting, alternating between uncontrollable laughter and dropped jaw because I can so easily relate to all of it and probably a bit more besides! This book is pure genius and so frighteningly on the mark, it’s unreal. I’ve read books that purport to deal with the menopause before and, while they give you the cold hard facts, they are not written by someone who clearly knows what the definition of hell is. Menopausalgodzilla takes the menopause and turns it on its head. Jacqueline tells you how it is, exactly how it is, but with the humor that is missing from every other book. I will be recommending this to all my friends in the same boat and I will be looking for other books by Ms. Pansy as well.
