Merry had no family. She was left on the steps of a church as a newborn babe on a Christmas Eve. She grew up in foster homes and orphanages. She just never had a place to belong, until now. She is grown and she has her own apartment and a pretty good job, but she still just can't make ends meet. She decides to go to the bank and try for a loan to catch her bills up, and it is there that she hears about a job she just can't resist. This job is to plan a family Christmas for a family who hasn't celebrated Christmas for several years. The mom of the family had passed away several years ago during the Holidays, so none of the family wants to celebrate after her loss. After landing the job, Merry's financial problems are over, but this family has more issues than she imagined, including the dad's girlfriend. Can Merry break through the barriers of each family member and succeed in her job of making it a wonderful Christmas for this family?
"Merry's Christmas" is a sweet Christmas story that will warm your heart. I think the plot is pretty predictable but the story is enjoyable and fun from the beginning until the end. The characters are believable and realistic and I grew to love them as the story unfolded. This was just a special family to get to know. If you want a fast paced short book to read during the Christmas Holidays, this would be a wonderful choice for you. You are sure not to be disappointed. Pick up your copy soon!
