Moral Stories: Pearls of Wisdom by Kunal Das and Vedika Agrawal is a collection of three stories that offer a message for children. The stories feature an impatient young bear, an envious monkey, and a boastful fish. The impatient bear and his brother want to grow carrots like their father does. They are given a handful of seeds and instructions on how to grow them. One brother follows the instructions exactly, but the impatient bear overwaters the crop and ends up destroying the seeds. In the end, his brother is successful and shares his carrots with him. The monkey dreams of being a deer, with almost disastrous consequences. The boastful fish makes up many outlandish stories to impress her friends, only to be found out when she gets in trouble. They learn the hard way that these are not good qualities to have.

Kunal Das and Vedika Agrawal have written a charming and educational book with Moral Stories: Pearls of Wisdom. There is some good advice for children here and I think these stories would be useful for younger children so they can see that actions have consequences. The imagery is very eye-catching and fun. I liked how the stories are written in a simple-to-understand way while being entertaining too. The addition of the puzzles in the back allows children to interact with the book and will provide hours of fun. I would highly recommend this book to children in the 3-6 age range as I think they would get the most out of it.
