My Feelings Are A Hurricane by Anabelle Wallick is the story of an adorable girl who explains what it is like to deal with her emotions. She feels sad if something happens to her at school, or angry if she cannot do something she wants. She also shows us that emotions can be even more complex because we can feel more than one thing at a time. Sometimes everything can reach a point where the mixed emotions form a whole hurricane of feelings. The girl not only expresses what she feels but also shows us how to take control of our emotions.

The images are marvelous and form a very important part of My Feelings Are A Hurricane. The colors used are a clear visual aid because they convey the emotions that run through this story. The feelings of the characters are realistic. The phrases support the visual aesthetics and the objective of the story. I liked how this book conveys a clear message. The situations described are common in children, so they will be able to identify themselves, reflect, and find solutions to their problems. Anabelle Wallick is a creative young author who has produced a perfect book to help other children properly express and control their feelings. This will be useful for children as well as for parents and teachers.
