In Olympian Heartbreak by Andrya Bailey, the author has taken the normal romance novel to a different level by infusing love, romance, danger, violence, and greed. The main characters are Sabrina, a history student, and friends Curt, Robert, and Jane, all students like her. Dr. Niko Soulis, Elini Soulis, Dr. Jones, Roxanne, Dr. Lisa Gould, Yannis Soulis, Mr. Wallendorf, and his daughter Maggie, Athena, Aleksy, and Theo are all characters that play an important part in this intriguing and wonderfully written story. They stick in your memory and call to mind how greedy humans can be.
Andrya Bailey has woven the themes of Olympian Heartbreak with such skill that she has the reader’s attention from the first page to the last page and still manages to leave the reader wanting to read more and know more about the main characters and how events change them for both good and bad. This book is written in current times with all the upheavals of government causing endless problems in the lives of ordinary citizens of Greece and those characters visiting from Houston, United States. The descriptions of the various historical sites in Greece also keep the reader spellbound as they are skilfully woven into the plot and become part of the main characters' lives. Thank you for a very interesting story with a twist in the tale at the end. Well worth a read or two.
