Oracle’s Hunt by A. Claire Everward is a compelling, trailblazing thriller that will appeal to fans of Dan Brown’s Digital Fortress. When a highly protected US-based facility is hit by an explosion, military investigator Donovan Pierce is called in to investigate. His investigation leads him to Oracle, something that quickly becomes a mystery, and the powers that operate within the organization will do anything to keep it secret, especially Lara Holsworth. Oracle is her life’s work. With the mounting threat from mysterious and powerful enemies, she has no choice but to team up with Pierce. But can they stop whoever is coming after Oracle? Time is running out.
This is an absorbing science fiction tale that is packed with intense action. It is fast-paced and suspenseful and I enjoyed the author’s deft handling of the plot, writing each chapter in a way that leaves the reader no choice but to turn to the next chapter. At every point, there is something intriguing in the story. It is a wonderful opening for the Oracle suspense series, featuring compelling, unforgettable characters, and a plot that transforms the story into a page-turner. A. Claire Everward is a name that should be featured alongside the favored thriller writers of our time. The writing in Oracle’s Hunt is cinematic and the experience I had reading this novel is akin to watching a blockbuster movie. From the impeccable writing, the sophisticated characters, to the twisty plot, the author delivers on an all-high level.
