Palm trees are known for their strength. Pamela the Palm Tree: Finding Strength in the Storms of Life by Denise Loy Buchanan Ph.D.c is an educational tool about resilience, challenges and overcoming. As Pamela the Palm Tree was going about life and enjoying the scenery, she was challenged one day by the wind. The wind wanted to blow and destroy everything within its path, but he could not destroy Pamela the Palm Tree - he only made her stronger. As children read Pamela the Palm Tree, they will learn about palm trees and where they get their strength. Also, children will learn valuable lessons from Pamela and be taught seven important facts about palm trees.
Children need stories that they can relate to and that will be helpful to their development, and this is what I enjoyed most about Pamela the Palm Tree: Finding Strength in the Storms of Life. Not only did the story have a great rhyming appeal, but it offered a solid foundation of life. When life tries to knock you down, get back up and keep pressing forward. Pamela the Palm Tree: Finding Strength in the Storms of Life will not only entertain your child, but they will learn that they are not alone in their struggles, and there are some things that they can do to gain strength.
