She tries to carry on in her home, her staff do all they can to help her but she has to face facts – she needs to leave so she can get on with her life. She finds herself at a hotel that her brother and sister-in-law run and takes a job at an animal sanctuary to keep herself busy. She makes new friends, an elderly cat adopts her, and she does what she can to prove to everyone, including herself, that life does indeed go on.

Paris Mends Broken Hearts by Kaya Quinsey is a lovely short story. It has everything – romance, loss, love, grief, and courage and it is a thoroughly entertaining story from start to finish.
