Pathways by Brenda M. Asterino is a beautiful collection of poems covering most of the experiences that a woman has in her lifetime and concerns for creating a better world. Her experiences include young love and romance to motherhood. Most of the poems in the book are relevant to our times. This includes poems that cover the Covid-19 pandemic and war and other topics that have stood the test of time and gained more prominence in mainstream media in recent years, including human trafficking, domestic violence, and feminism. Asterino takes the reader through a whirlwind of emotions as she gently awakens you to the distress of our times while uncovering the possibilities and opportunities that await if we try to be and do better.

Pathways by Brenda M Asterino was a joy to read. Asterino articulates deep and burdensome issues that are often too much for individuals to bear, but she does it so eloquently that you can absorb and stay with those emotions, if only for a while, and maybe even think more deeply about it if not act on what her words evoke in you. My favorite poems were What Glory the Nature of Woman, A Plan, Darkness, Fear, Liberty, Wealth, and God-Shine. I found this poetry collection so astoundingly beautiful; it was almost incomprehensible that one person could be so talented beyond measure. Asterino wears her heart on her sleeve through this collection of poems and inspires others to do the same. Pathways is a meaningful, impassioned, and insightful poetry collection.

It is always a pleasure when an author is able to convey important messages to her readers, but when she manages to do it through poems, the effect is even more powerful. This will happen to you, too, when reading Pathways: Walking Through Creation by Brenda M. Asterino. This collection is highly personal because it chronicles the author's experiences and the poems she wrote throughout her life (the first poem dates back to 1954!). it also has universal value. Here, Asterino will deal with many issues and make you reflect on topics such as women, joy, fear, and darkness, but above all, she will make you think about our culture and how to create a better tomorrow.

Pathways is a poetry collection that will make a deep impression on you and remain forever etched in your memory. Brenda M. Asterino deals with issues that are of great relevance to each of us and on which readers will focus again after reading this book. There is something enchanting about these poems - something that makes you feel there is a connection between you and what you are reading, which later becomes a strong link with what is around you. After all, everything and everyone is connected in Asterino's poems. Above all, I liked the way in which the author was able to express her thoughts about our culture to readers. I recommend Pathways to those who love fine reading and feel the need to commit to building a more just future.

Pathways is a collection of poems that talk about nature, society, love, and spirituality. The number of situations that Brenda M Asterino exposes is very diverse because she talks about both memories of her childhood and current concepts such as the covid. She is a person who proves to be consistent with her ideas and shares what she has seen and learned throughout her life. She also talks about complicated issues and seeks to create empathy in a world of inevitable tragedies. She shares an enjoyable way of looking at things to understand them better. Pathways express that when understanding comes, the perception of truth and justice changes. And that wisdom comes from surviving many experiences. This poetry shows how maturity comes when you learn to accept both joy and pain, and you can become helpful to others.

Motivation can be driven by curiosity, which is linked to a desire to know and motivates us to learn and explore our environment for answers. Someone who has lived longer knows and can guide us through values and harmonious words to rediscover ourselves. And that’s something I see in Pathways. I liked the way Brenda M Asterino expresses herself because she has a way of thinking that goes beyond prejudices and imposed ideas. Our thoughts direct our actions. And our actions have consequences. Therefore, to improve our way of acting, we have to see which ideas are beneficial. Pathways is helpful because it shows the truth of many things in an easy way to understand.
