The rise of the Shifters has split humanity into two camps: some align with them, while others want nothing to do with the hybrids. This human-animal hybrid can switch between forms at will and possesses exceptional strength and agility. Dario Renzetti's wealth and family background have made him the perfect model for all Shifters. His one frustration is his inability to find a mate. All that changes when circumstances bring Tessa Cooper, a single mother and anti-Shifter, into his employ. She exudes all the qualities he seeks, but her firm stance against the superhuman hybrids looks to be a barrier between them. Dario must find a way to convince her that his intentions mean well for the two of them. Will he continue his pursuit when he discovers Tessa's past comes with deadly complications? Only time will tell in Dania Voss's Primal Destiny.
Tessa's and Dario's origin stories are brief and to the point. Dania Voss focuses on the connections they share, such as their mutual friends and activities, simulating a real-world experience of a chance meeting that will resonate easily with readers. The dialogue transitions from casual to businesslike and back with some strategically placed flirtatious commentary that is guaranteed to excite romance aficionados. Voss's narrative style emphasizes the practical aspects of Dario's courting of Tessa. In Primal Destiny, the author complements these practical aspects with some steamy sexual episodes that leave little to the imagination. She weaves these elements together through a gradual pacing and some impressive combat scenes that action enthusiasts will find quite satisfying. This riveting romance novel will appeal to a wide range of readers.
