Rick's Bear is the third book in the Boys of Brighton series by M. Tasia. The story of the Boys of Brighton continues with Bear and Rick as they find out everyone has love to give and receive. Rick Johansson is a librarian and he loves his quiet life. He is used to the peace of his books and he isn’t looking for anyone or anything to disrupt that for him. Clem Mitchell, a.k.a. Bear, is a tattooed man that oozes sensuality. They both like to keep to themselves and that is where their similarities end. So when fate brings them together, they have no other option but to rely on each other to remain safe. There is danger around them and they need to work together or else they will pay a hefty price. They aren’t looking for love, but what they will do when they find out that they are perfect for each other? Will they take the opportunity and explore love?
I am not even surprised anymore. M. Tasia is a magician with words and she knows how to weave a pretty picture to have you hooked. I am still amazed at how she was able to give a complete story in less than 150 pages. Bear and Rick are well-rounded and very well-developed characters. They have their flaws, their quirks and they know how to use anything to their advantage. They are a cool couple, they both are silent yet strong types and I loved their combination. As always, the plot is great and the descriptions are out of this world. Rick's Bear is such a cool story to read and a perfect quick pick-me-up when you want a boost!
