Zane Hollister is back from prison, and he wants one thing: Jenny. The only problem is Jen is with Colton, the tech whiz from Silicon Valley who made her feel secure and balanced. Zane, on the other hand, is pure danger! Tall, muscular, and charming, Zane is a real ladies' man, albeit a former drug-dealing one—and the former part is still in question. Though he claims to be "sober and straight", Jen does not want to go back to feeling unsafe and insecure. Unfortunately, when she informs Zane that she is no longer interested, she begins to experience a series of catastrophes she suspects are brought about by Zane. Will Jen escape this nightmare and save her relationship? Find out in Romeo Stalker by Irene Woodbury.
This is how to write a plot-driven story! You know when you read a story and you remember every single thing? That's exactly my experience with Romeo Stalker. Irene Woodbury is a skilled and talented writer who knows how to write a story and make all the different parts connect perfectly. The book is quite introspective and revealing: there were several moments where I was surprised and had to tell myself, "I have thought about this before!" The main protagonist is a showgirl who doesn't get completely nude so expect some sex appeal and several colorful Las Vegas parties. However, there are no sexually explicit scenes. Besides being a greatly thrilling and vivacious narrative, Romeo Stalker brings our attention to a serious issue that affects different women around the world: dangerous, controlling spouses. Therefore, I highly recommend Romeo Stalker to readers who have left or are looking to leave a toxic relationship.
