Saint is the first book in the Gates of Heaven Series by M. Tasia. Saint hasn’t always been the man he is right now. Long ago, he was happy and satisfied with his life but then his mother died and he had to change everything. He made a deal with his father; he would follow in his footsteps to become a surgeon so that his little brother can live his life as he sees fit. However, fate has something else planned for Saint and it seems like he doesn’t have to be a surgeon anymore. So he takes matters into his own hands and buys a building that needs a little more than just some TLC. Luckily for him, he meets Max Connor who is a master of his craft and knows how to rebuild something that hasn’t received much attention in years, like its owner. Can Max break down the walls around Saint’s heart and make a home in it?
I am officially in love with the way M. Tasia writes her stories. There is something about the narrative that draws you in and makes you want to know more and more. Saint and Max make such an adorable couple, they take care of each other and they make sure the other is right there with them in the moment. Saint’s struggles and journey are very real, you can easily relate to him and find a way to cheer for him in every situation. Their journey together was a roller-coaster that you will love to ride along on and never want it to end. A wonderful start to a series! Saint: Gates of Heaven Book 1 had me hooked from the beginning.
