Some of the most mind-blowing events often happen in obscure corners of the world but are witnessed by few. Alderburgh, a small city in Ohio, is the stage chosen by author Bloodstone for intense and eccentric action. What transpired when Drusilla, a nun beloved by the entire town—even gang members—for her good deeds, turned violent, seemingly possessing supernatural powers, and left a trail of bodies in her wake? All sightings of her reported that she had a wooden box with unclear origins. Is this box the cause of her radical change, or is it merely an accessory associated with being evil? Regina Banger, the neighborhood superheroine, lacks the friendly demeanor that would have earned her Spiderman's moniker. Instead, her attitude is anything but friendly, and her saves often end in less-than-optimal outcomes, but she often comes through for Alderburgh, nonetheless. She takes on the responsibility of fighting crime, dealing with gangs, fending off other superpowered entities, and speaking with cats, and now she is tasked with solving Saint Drusilla's Plight.

Get ready to be dazzled by author Bloodstone in this intriguing and thrilling action novel packed to the brim with violent confrontations, gang skirmishes, man-made earthquakes, colorful shapes, graffiti, extraterrestrial life forms, gizmos, and relics. It's a wild ride, where something's always brewing. Boodstone's unpredictability is the jaw-dropper for me; when you think you have the plot all figured out, then you're hit with another twist like a speeding truck. I also liked the depiction of the heroine, showing readers that not all heroes are appreciated, hinting at how not all good deeds are rewarded because of a perceived character flaw in the doer of the deed. The thread of connections is open-ended, leaving the reader's imagination to run wild trying to fill up the blank spaces. The interviews are an added touch that I enjoyed. Anyone who reads action novels will find Saint Drusilla's Plight interesting.
