With a highly unique storyline and an exciting plot that will keep readers engaged from the start through to the finish, Selling Hitler's Trousers by author Paul Jagger is one that many readers will enjoy. A pair of Hitler's trousers, secreted out of the bunker he had spent his last days in by his valet, have, years later, become the object of much desire by neo-Nazis trying to see if they might contain the Fuhrer's DNA. Barry Snapp, our protagonist, seems an unlikely person to be involved in such dealings. He's a lowly junior executive, and has been sent by a wealthy oil corporation to negotiate with some Brazilian gangsters that are extorting them. But when Barry discovers that the gangsters are also in possession of the trousers, his life only becomes more complicated from there.

Selling Hitler's Trousers was a wild thrill ride of a read. I read a lot and I have never read a book with this premise before. In a world where so many books seem to follow the same formulaic story lines, that is really saying a great deal. I was hooked from the first page, and found myself obsessively turning the pages until the very last word. Any reader who loves a great read with a lot of action, adventure, suspense, and even a little bit of sexy intrigue should absolutely read Selling Hitler's Trousers. I recommend this book, and certainly hope that author Paul Jagger is already hard at work on his next book. I, for one, will be watching for its release.

Selling Hitler’s Trousers is one of those really interesting books that stays with a reader long after the story has finished, thanks to its unusual premise revolving around the attempted sale of a pair of filthy trousers, resplendent with dirt, feces and urine stains, authenticated to have belonged to Adolf Hitler, despotic leader of the Third Reich. However, this entertaining tale by Paul Jagger is more than just a story about a pair of unsavory trousers. Barry (Baz) Snapp is an underachieving junior executive with Isthmus Oil, a multinational conglomerate, who’s been hand-picked by the company’s CEO to fly down to central Brazil in order to personally deliver some seismic survey reports stored in a black leather case. However, within minutes of the transaction taking place between Baz and some men in a café in Cuiaba, a car pulls up to the curb and an explosion all but decimates the small café and kills the men who had collected Baz’s case.

Once the dust settles, Baz realizes that the car and case are gone, and only he and a hippie backpacker called Willy are left alive. The two join forces and beat a hasty retreat. It doesn’t take long for the two fledgling friends, along with Willy’s sister, Sarah, to discover that the case contained more than mere reports when all three are kidnapped and taken to Rio’s favela slums where they’re questioned by Rico, the reigning drug lord of one of the slum gangs that rule the favelas. Rico demands to know where his money is, telling them that Baz’s case had contained money from Baz’s oil company intended as protection payment to ensure the smooth running of the company’s operations in the area. It’s also during their visit that Baz and his friends learn about Hitler’s trousers, which Rico’s young favela thugs had stolen earlier in the day. When Baz tells Rico that the trousers are probably valuable to a collector, Rico orders Baz to sell them for fifty thousand dollars otherwise he’ll send his thugs out to the Brazilian forest to destroy the endangered macaw birds that Sarah cares about. Within twenty-four hours, Baz goes from being a reluctant middle-man facilitating the sale of a pair of trousers for a Brazilian drug lord to escaping neo-Nazis intent on obtaining the last piece of authentic DNA belonging to Adolf Hitler, all the while continuing to act as a reluctant messenger boy for Isthmus Oil.

From the towering scenic views atop Rio’s Sugarloaf Mountain and its world-famous beaches and slums, to the resplendent beauty of the French Riviera and its old town, to the dreary flats of London, Selling Hitler’s Trousers is chock full of eye candy for the reader’s fertile imagination. Jagger’s prose is both solid and confident, never once wavering as he weaves the unlikely strands of a pair of highly sought-after trousers with the tribulations of a beleaguered oil conglomerate to create a highly entertaining tale of intrigue and corruption, helmed by a protagonist who is, at best, a reluctant hero of sorts. In fact, it’s these three disparate elements – Hitler’s trousers, the beleaguered oil company and Baz, the unremarkable everyman – that underscore the obvious; that Hitler’s toxic legacy of evil lives on, corruption is alive and well within powerful oil conglomerates, and Rio’s slums are a dangerous place to end up in. But don’t take my word for it. Read Selling Hitler’s Trousers and find out for yourself. You certainly won’t be disappointed!

In author Paul Jagger's new release, Selling Hitler's Trousers, readers will be taken on quite a journey, both into history and into the present day life of Brazilian crime lords. What if, in Hitler's last days, a valet was able to smuggle some of his personal belongings out of his secret bunker, some of his clothes? Well, that's what happens in this story. When the existence of a pair of Hitler's trousers is made known to a group of modern day neo-Nazis, they become obsessed with finding them, determined to get some of their beloved leader's DNA from them. And when a lowly executive, Barry Snapp, in the course of negotiating with some Brazilian criminals for his employers, finds that they possess those very trousers and gets blackmailed into the un-enviable job of selling them, well, he's not really sure he'll survive the experience.

Author Paul Jagger has done an amazing job in Selling Hitler's Trousers. The story line is fresh, the writing crisp, and the plot moves along swiftly. Readers won't be able to stop reading once they pick up this book, something that I highly encourage them to do. Readers who love a good, adventurous tale, a story that features a kind of "Everyman" who's thrown into nearly impossible situations and somehow makes his way out, or just a fun and exciting read will definitely enjoy Selling Hitler's Trousers. Author Paul Jagger is certainly one to keep your eye on. He has a unique story-telling voice and I definitely see a promising future ahead for him!
