Serpent Loop is a pulsating crime thriller written by Lynn Lipinski. After losing his mother under violent circumstances ten months ago, Zane Clearwater finds himself taking care of his fifteen-year-old sister Lettie. However, while working as a security guard at the carnival, Zane's life becomes even more complicated when he witnesses a man named Kevin Perrine killing Wally Zittman, someone his sister appears to know. After conversing with her, Zane discovers that Lettie is involved in a credit card scam operation run by dangerous people, risking her very life. Lettie flees to Los Angeles unexpectedly, leaving Zane with no choice but to follow his sister alongside her boyfriend, Angel. As Zane and Lettie reunite, FBI agents and criminals track their every move. Zane and Lettie must now play a risky game to get out of this mess.

An intricately woven crime drama thriller with a lot of heart, Serpent Loop is a thoroughly entertaining read that provides thrills and drama galore. Author Lynn Lipinski wastes little time in getting the plot moving and fills it with plenty of twists and turns to keep you immersed throughout the pages. The characters are complex individuals facing conflicts that are grounded in reality. Zane's relationship with his sister and his determination to protect her at all costs is the primary conflict that drives the narrative forward. I found their dynamic realistic, and it adds an extra layer of depth to the story. I would recommend Serpent Loop to anyone interested in character-driven crime drama thrillers.
