Because of the unreliable relationship tendencies in her history, Danika denies herself a life of love and companionship in the poignant women's fiction story She Walks In Moonlight by Jennifer Silverwood. In self-imposed exile, Danika has spent the last ten years traveling the world. Her purpose was to stay as far away as possible from the small town she grew up in and Adam, the boy she loved and abandoned at a critical point in his life. But when her brother, Peter, is diagnosed with leukemia, she can no longer avoid her return. Now Danika must face the ghosts from her past along with the trials of her brother's serious illness. Will she conquer her demons? Can Danika redeem herself?
She Walks In Moonlight by Jennifer Silverwood is an engrossing story about a capricious young woman determined not to repeat her mother's heartbreaking mistakes. Through love and tragedy, this book keeps the reader guessing to the end. Although I found the characters hard to relate to at times, the strong storyline made up for their weaknesses. I couldn't stop reading because I had to know how the story ended. Even though this book touches on pain and misfortune, it illustrates to the reader how the characters face their deepest personal fears, and how their experiences, through the pain of rejection and loss, stimulated positive personal growth. I would recommend this book to those readers who like characters that overcome hardship and trauma with hope and purpose; no matter the outcome. Due to the adult situations, this book is more suitable for those over the age of eighteen.
