To truly get the most out of "Soul Journey to Love: 100 Days to Inner Peace" by Irene A. Cohen, the reader must take their time and meditate on each entry. This is not a book to read in one sitting nor is it a book that can be rushed through; I recommend reading this book several times to reinforce the message. "Soul Journey to Love" has 100 daily meditations. We do not always have time to set and meditate; however, we can meditate while walking and cleaning house, at stop lights or any number of other places as well. There is no set way to meditate; it is up to the individual.

Author Irene Cohen uses the word God in her book but makes note that she is not referring to the Judeo-Christian God but “a God of Oneness and unity with all, the God that is within us and in all things simultaneously, the loving creator, Source, father to some, mother to others." Cohen is a physician psychiatrist. She was raised as a secular Jew. She embraces a mixture of religions rather than one single religion. Cohen studied qigong which is a form of Chinese meditative movement. "Soul Journey to Love" has three sections: Part I deals with how to quiet the mind and go within, Part II concerns the mind of God and its bond to individuals, and Part III contains poems and prayers. "Soul Journey to Love" is written in simple, easy to read language. Dr. Cohen’s book is inspirational. This book can draw the reader closer to God, bringing an inner peace like no other.
