Author Biography

I'm an action-adventure thriller writer from India. Spectre is my 7th book and the 3rd in the Kirk Ingram series. Most vigilante stories feature a traumatised hero, and ... nightmares of the 'incident'. With Spectre, I decided to take those nightmares and turn them into something exciting - what if... Kirk Ingram was not dreaming that stuff... what if he was drifting between the world of the living and the dead? And then came the idea... but how could that be? Of course, we know one famous historical figure who came back from the dead. And that's when all of it fell into place!

Spectre: A Kirk Ingram Action Thriller is a work of suspenseful and action-packed adventure fiction penned by author Douglas Misquita. Following the events of Haunted and Diablo, this concluding novel to the Kirk Ingram saga sees the former FBI agent up against his biggest trial yet, when Kirk finds himself once again deep in the center of events he does not understand. The answers lie buried in the far-flung past, where the people of one of the oldest recorded histories in the world may have passed on their ethereal powers to pose a threat to the world leaders of today.

Author Douglas Misquita pens his action scenes extremely well and ties those moments together with clever threads of intrigue and snappy conversations that build suspense on every page of this excellent conspiracy novel. The roots of the tale lie more than 2000 years in the past, where Misquita inventively uses supernatural elements which we take to be quite normal for biblical times and reinvents them in the modern day to proportions of an epic disaster. The effect is eerily realistic, posing a fantastic threat level that is sure to both frighten and intrigue its readers. Kirk Ingram, as a central character, is capable but also fallible in his assumptions and attitude, and is balanced out really nicely by Jovanni Rossi as the plot unfolds around them and they struggle to keep one another alive. Overall, Spectre: A Kirk Ingram Action Thriller serves up everything that high octane thriller and conspiracy fans need.
