Author Biography

S.M. Webb is a married mother of 3 active teens. When she isn't working, she's at her kids' activities or cramming in writing wherever she can. Spirited was inspired by S.M.'s youngest child, who at age 11 said, "I think God needs to bring more people to heaven because the world needs more angels."

Spirited is told from the perspectives of two imperfect teens in a fantasy afterlife world, complete with an inclusive heaven, an inscrutable angel advisor, and a hauntingly hot dead guy.

Spirited: Book 1 by S.M. Webb introduces Sienna and Cassidy, who have never seen eye to eye. One is a down-to-earth young girl who misses her mother, while the other seems to be a mean girl who has had everything handed to her by her rich father. At least that is how they view each other. A tractor-trailer collides with the bus the two girls are traveling on, making them both ascend to and claim their place in Heaven. The opportunity to be spirit guides back on Earth to protect others from being reaped is offered to them by an angel named Tenji, but they would have to train together to grow. Will Sienna agree to train with Cassidy, or will they lose the chance to be spirit guides because of their differences on Earth?

Spirited by S.M. Webb is the tragic yet uplifting tale of two girls who lived their lives in different ways but end up dying together in a crash. They meet again as neighbors in Heaven and train together to become spirit guides. The spiritual undertones of this story are delivered in a way that is fun and entertaining to the reader as the characters interact with angels, humans, and other spirits. I love how this story is inclusive so that anyone, regardless of religion, gender, culture, or sexuality, can enjoy it from beginning to end. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys an otherworldly story that shows the personal growth of characters who come from different backgrounds.
