Edmond Raines may have left the life of a protector behind but a recent tragedy gravitates him back to familiar surroundings as he prepares himself for the inevitable reckoning that must come. With the help of his trusted teacher, he tracks down the people that took everything from him. On the other hand, Cameron Stone is still active in the protection business and rises through the ranks, earning the respect of friends and foes alike. These two men are worlds apart in all aspects but a terrorist plot with frightening global ramifications will set them on colliding trajectories as they set aside all who stand in their way in Thomas LeBrun's Sticks And Stones.

Sticks And Stones focuses its storyline on the personal struggles of two individuals involved in the private security business and the sometimes unfortunate consequences that can come from that delicate line of work. Thomas LeBrun takes time detailing his characters using a combination of impressive origin stories and an unusual storytelling technique. His effort results in characters that are not just multifaceted but emotionally well-rounded in a manner befitting a story that balances combat with suspense. The pace is somewhat sedate even during the fighting scenes, which is a first for me, but I like how LeBrun fuses his subplots into a single story arc without disrupting the flow of the novel. Sticks And Stones is entertaining and well worth the reading experience with its detailed fighting and workout aspects and interesting storyline.

Sticks and Stones: A Cameron Stone Action Thriller is an action-packed novel by Thomas LeBrun. It's the year 1991. Edmund Raines, a Close Protector, sees his life turned upside down when a huge explosion at the Regency Hotel in New York City leads to the deaths of his wife and his eight-year-old son. Over the next two decades, Raines dedicates himself to training in various Martial Arts disciplines in the Far East, eventually faking his own death in Australia. Now he is searching for Lash Galik, the deadly terrorist responsible for countless attacks. Meanwhile, Cameron Stone is another protector who offers his services to high-profile clients all over the world. After learning that they pursue similar goals, Cam and Raines work together to bring down two deadly terrorists, while Cam's girlfriend Sara becomes an involuntary target for their enemies.

If you're a fan of spy thrillers or action-packed stories with protagonists like Jason Bourne, Sticks and Stones will be right up your alley. Thomas LeBrun spins a thrilling yarn that moves at a blistering pace, keeping you on the edge of your seat from the first page. All three major characters are experts in their fields in their distinct ways. While Raines and Cameron share the majority of the page time, Sara brings something of her own to the story with impactful appearances that change the course of events. There are also a couple of major twists that you never see coming. Recommended to action-oriented thriller lovers.

Sticks and Stones by Thomas LeBrun is an action-packed thriller about two men working for Close Protection Industry, a bodyguard service for VIPs. Edmond Raines, the best in the business, loses his family in an explosion and spirals into depression and alcoholism. Cameron Stone, new to the job as a protector, crosses paths with the criminals responsible for Raines' loss during a job, and the duo teams up to bring them to justice. Along the way, they meet intriguing characters like Tosh, a martial arts teacher, and Sara, whose parkour abilities and toughness make her equal to male counterparts. As the characters delve deep into the mystery, they stumble upon a complex web of intrigue and deception with dire consequences.

In Sticks and Stones, Thomas LeBrun impressively balances detail and imagination, creating tense and emotional scenes essential for any thriller plot. The fight scenes are well-choreographed and realistic, and LeBrun does an excellent job of keeping the pace fast and the tension high. The suspense builds steadily throughout, and there are enough twists and turns to keep you turning the pages until the end. In addition, the characters are well-developed, adding a unique perspective to the tale. Cameron Stone is a complex and multi-dimensional protagonist with a notably fleshed-out backstory and motivations. It's an excellent read for those who love action, drama, and compelling characters that take you on a journey across the world.
