In T.I.M.E.: Time's Interactive Module Entity by Jerry B. Sanders, Carl discovers a strange device in the woods while hunting in Missouri. He is only fifteen, but he is obsessed with the device. He wants to figure out what it does and how it works. He cannot share his discovery with his professors for fear of it being confiscated. Later in life, Carl loses jobs and almost gets a divorce due to spending a lot of time working on the device. One day, as Carl is experimenting with the device using an oscilloscope, it disappears mysteriously. It later reemerges seven days later. Carl theorizes that the device had travelled into the future. His theory proves to be true, and with tireless work, he creates a machine that can travel not only into the future but also back to the past. What will happen as Carl utilizes his device at various events?
T.I.M.E. by Jerry B. Sanders is wonderfully written and takes the reader on a gripping journey filled with unexpected directions and moral dilemmas. I loved the themes covered, such as science and our moral obligation to use technology for the betterment of humanity. This thought-provoking work also got me thinking about how AI can be used to do good. Jerry used suspense effectively, and the vivid descriptions of events helped create a mental picture of what was happening. The excellent narration added to the overall beauty of the work, and the reader will also appreciate the seamless flow of the plot, which leaves no room for confusion. The language used is easy to understand, which makes the work accessible to all audiences. I look forward to reading something else by Jerry B. Sanders.
