Taco the Goofy Dog Loves Shoes: A Tail-Wagging, Shoe-Chasing Adventure! by Lil Rustle is a fun read for kids. Taco is always on the go. When he gets the chance to grab a shoe, he gets the playful zoomies, racing all over the house with his prize. But one day, Taco's obsession goes a little too far, and he's in big trouble with Mom. But she's got an idea to help distract him from shoes. What is it? And is it really more fun than shoes?

Taco the Goofy Dog Loves Shoes by Lil Rustle is a cute picture book that all kids will love. It's written in rhyme, making it simple and fun to follow, and it will bring a smile to any little face. The illustrations are bright and colorful, helping tell an all-too-common story of a mischievous pup and chewed shoes! But it's not just for kids; adult readers with a dog like Taco might just learn how to stop their dog from doing the same. This is an entertaining tale, totally captivating, and guaranteed to hold any child's attention. I like that it is based on a real dog called Taco, and I loved the photos of him at the end of the book – these help young readers relate even more to the story. Most of us have had a mischievous pet like Taco, and we can all relate to Mom's frustration. This book is perfectly written for its target audience, but all readers will love it, no matter their age. Highly recommended reading for kids, at home or in school.

If you're looking for a delightful bedtime story that will have your little ones giggling, "Taco the Goofy Dog Loves Shoes" is an absolute gem! Author Lil Rustle has created something really special here - a rhyming adventure that's not only entertaining but actually helpful for families dealing with shoe-chewing pets.

What I loved most about this book is how it turns a common household frustration (we've all been there with chewed-up sneakers!) into a charming story with a practical solution. The illustrations are vibrant and full of personality, perfectly capturing Taco's mischievous spirit. There's something extra heartwarming about knowing this story is based on a real dog - you'll get to meet the actual Taco in a sweet photo at the end.

The rhyming flows naturally, making it perfect for reading aloud, and the story length is just right for holding young attention spans. Whether you're a parent, grandparent, or just someone who adores dog stories, this book will leave you smiling. Plus, if you're reading on Kindle Unlimited, you'll be happy to know the formatting is crisp and easy to navigate.

This is a fun story that will keep your children captivated and smiling.

Taco the Goofy Dog is a mischievous little pup that really loves to chew on shoes. One day after mom finds her shoe full of holes, fully frustrated, she came up with a possible way of him having something of his own to play with and chew on in hopes he will stop chewing on shoes. This is my favorite part...The solution...mom made him something fun.

The illustrations are sweet and colorful, nicely capturing Taco's silly personality.

Super cute book. We bought it as one book for my 9yo to read to shelter dogs. It was perfect.

I got my nephew (aged 5) this book as he has been asking for a dog for a while. It’s such a cute story about Taco, and I love that it’s based on a real dog. The story is sweet and funny - we couldn't help like Taco even though he was naughty. The simplicity and rhyming made it easy to read, so it could be a good early reader for him. I like the illustrations too - kind of like a coloured pencil drawing style, totally age-appropriate. We are hoping the book will help him understand that having a dog is a responsibility and doesn't always go to plan, so he'll need to teach a dog good behaviours. He’s very happy with this book, we read it again and again!

As a dog owner with shoes all over the house, I feel Taco’s excitement as much as Mom’s annoyance! This is a lovely short storybook perfect for bedtime or a rainy day. I especially loved the bright colored book cover.

Taco the Goofy Dog loves shoes is a cute, fun story about a shoe stealing (chewing) dog. Anyone who has ever raised a puppy can relate. I read this story to my 4 year old grandson and he loves it. I love the photos of the real Taco at the end.

What made the Taco story come to life was when it reminded me of my first pup. Loves to grab a bone or a shoe and hide until it is destroyed! This is a sweet and playful story that the kids enjoyed and if you have a pet you may understand. Had good rhyme flow and illustrations matching perfectly. A good bedtime read that the little ones still ask for all the time.

This book is a hoot! Great for story time/reading aloud. Also perfect for youngsters who are just learning to read and sound out words to form sentences. The pictures are bright and colorful, with a writing style similar to Dr. Seuss. Overall, very cute. The topper is at the end, there are pictures of the real Taco, which young readers and story time participants will love.
