April never knew her father: she was told that he’d died shortly after her birth. When she was five years old, her mother married Clark, an entertainment lawyer she’d only known for two weeks. Although it was a turbulent relationship at first between April and Clark’s five-year-old son, August, April gained a father and brother. Then a tragedy struck. Enter Griff and Bunny, an entertainment couple and long-time friends of Clark. They wanted the children to make names for themselves in Hollywood. While it was August’s dream, April wasn’t enthusiastic. However, the kids had formed a strong bond, promising to protect each other. They would soon discover that all that glitters is not gold. Follow the Fairbanks or the Lawrences on their journey through stardom in this novel titled Tell Me You Love Me by Kathleen Stone.

Tell Me You Love Me by Kathleen Stone will appeal to all guardians. Manipulation, deceit, lies, sacrifices, loyalty, selfishness, love, and resilience were just some of the emotional elements of this impactful novel. The plot was one of a kind, and the storyline was realistic. When the protectors become the nightmares, what does a child do? When the ones who should listen feed their wards to the wolves, where is their haven? Kathleen is a very talented storyteller with an active imagination. She infused life into the story, developing the characters perfectly and dropping shocking twists and turns. Auggie and Ape, ah! They were the strongest, and Olive had my heart. This novel shows that there’s a lot of pain, mess, secrets, and scandals behind the glitz and glam. Thank you, Kathleen, for a marvelous book!
