Thank You, Mommy by Kendrick Monestime is a children’s picture book for kids aged two and above that teaches young readers the extent of a mother’s love and the sacrifices that mothers throughout the world go through for the sake of their children. The story aims to build bonds between children and their mothers by celebrating all the moms in the world. Charming illustrations show young readers the selflessness of their mothers. Not only a perfect gift for Mother’s Day, but it is also just the thing for appreciating mothers!
Thank You, Mommy by Kendrick Monestime shows just how much mothers shape our world and have the most significant impact on our upbringing. It simplifies this complex idea into short and simple phrases suitable for young readers. From the full extent of a mother’s love to staying by our side at any moment in our lives, big or small, it teaches a sense of appreciation. While it is aimed at young audiences, I think it is also suitable for adults, as the meaning and depth behind these simple phrases go further. I was reminiscing on my childhood memories while reading this lovely text. I also adored the illustrations, which include characters from different ethnicities, making the book diverse. With brilliant aesthetics, the chosen color palette is bright and cheery. It is perfect for Mother’s Day and every other occasion.
