The Adventures of Daisy and Bronson: Bronson's Big Splash by Melonie Carter is an adorable picture book for young children. Isaiah and his two dogs Daisy and Bronson are going to Woofton Lake Park. Daisy and Bronson had been to many parks before, but none like this one, because this park had a lake. Bronson had no idea what a lake was until they arrived. Isaiah strapped a life jacket onto Daisy and tried to do the same to Bronson. As soon as Bronson saw "the biggest puddle of water" he ran to it before he had the chance to think it through. Suddenly Bronson felt lightweight and looked down to discover why. He instantly regretted his rash decision and panicked when he realized he was in deep water and can't swim. What will Bronson do?
The Adventures of Daisy and Bronson was a fun book to read. Children are going to love this adventure-filled story just as much as I did. The storyline will grab the attention of any young reader from the start, and hold it throughout. The writing, along with engaging characters, will have children entertained and leave them wanting more. Melonie Carter is a talented children's author and it shines through in every word she writes. I can tell that a lot of thought and effort has been put into this book and I'm confident it will prove popular with both parents and children. Whether you need to pass time on a rainy day, or if you are just looking for your child's next read, then look no further as this book is the one for you.
