You’ve published your first or your twentieth book and it’s listed on Amazon. Sales aren’t great and, with over 8,000 books published each day, there’s so much competition out there. What can you do to boost sales? According to Penny C. Sansevieri, as she writes in The Amazon Author Formula, it’s important to know and understand the Amazon search function and how it works. Then, you can effectively follow her comprehensive guide and market your book successfully on Amazon. After all, you have to boost your sales and until you do so, Amazon will rank your book at the bottom and it’s as good as non-existent. The author also suggests making your book(s) more visible, possibly by using Amazon ads and making good use of your author’s page to promote yourself as an author. You also have to know how to utilize the keyword strategy to make your book(s) searchable.

Sansevieri’s book, The Amazon Author Formula: Insider Tips, Tricks, and Strategies for Selling More Books!, is a thorough and helpful resource to help new and established authors make the best use of Amazon to promote and sell their books. The author is well organized in her approach and lays things out simply so as not to overwhelm authors seeking to optimize the resources at hand. With a thorough Table of Contents to lead the way, the approach is very systematic with lots of illustrations to support the points being made. The conclusion will have you literally doing what the chapter title suggests: “Turning Your Book into a 24/7 Sale Tool.” Penny provides extra resources at the end for further study. Very informative and helpful advice.
