The Animal Café by Sarah Lewis is a wonderfully illustrated story written in rhyme that will thrill young readers. Whoever said animals had to hunt for their food? The secret café provides for everyone in this fun tale of friendship and togetherness. This is a lovely story for kids to read at bedtime, helping them sleep and dream peacefully. It’s a well-written tale, and a great deal of care has gone into making it as easy to read and follow as possible. Although it is aimed at the 3-7 age group, I think it will be enjoyed by kids of all different ages and they’ll want to read it time and again. The characters are well thought-out and illustrated. This is a story to remember. It will make kids see animals a little differently and teach them that, even though everyone is different, it’s perfectly possible to live together in harmony. Highly enjoyable and recommended for all kids.
