The Blood Bond Chronicles by J.P. Morrow is a riveting read, a tale that mixes the dark with gore and horror. Sif is a lonely woman and it's a choice she has made. Cut off from the world, she lives not far from the place where her family lies buried. She buried them. But when two strangers knock on her door, everything changes and she finds herself obsessed by blood and unbridled desires. The beautiful Jacqlyn will guide her on a blood-filled path. The journey begins into the darkness of her soul, but can she find redemption or will her desires only grow to a point where they'll destroy her?

The writing is terrific and J.P. Morrow explores the dark side of the characters, building a gripping, somewhat disturbing narrative on the strange and morbid bond between the characters. Here is a book with a strong appeal to fans of horror. The author sows seeds of fear and excitement in the hearts of the characters and drives readers to keep on looking forward to the next exciting event in the story. In some strange way, readers can feel a connection with the characters and explore the part of them that is filled with undisciplined thoughts and wild imaginings. I enjoyed the way the characters are developed and the relationship between Sif and the setting comes out powerfully, reinforcing the theme of solitude that is deftly developed. The prose is excellent, featuring well-crafted sentences and timely paragraph breaks. The Blood Bond Chronicles is well paced and emotionally intense. It's a disturbing story with dark themes.
