The Business That Runs on Its Own: 10 Steps to Working with a Business Coach That Takes Your Business to the Next Level and Fulfills Your Dream Lifestyle is a call to entrepreneurship. After working for a Fortune 500 company, Suresh Iyengar decided to start his own business as a profitability coach. Using examples from his experiences and the knowledge he gained through his education and career, the author explains his methods for helping businesses to improve. Tips on growing as a professional and an entrepreneur are shared in this guide. Communication is discussed and effective speech writing and delivery are addressed. The author emphasizes the process, and challenges business owners to take the proper steps to build their businesses over time.
I was surprised by the bonuses that flow from the purchase of the book. The author offers free business calls and business analyses, but I’d encourage readers to look through his strategies and ideas before making appointments, as they will be better equipped to speak about their businesses. I appreciated the need for accountability, and I could relate to the idea of creating passive income. Some of the information was obvious, like creating an online presence, but I could see how hard it might be to persuade older business owners to conform to some of his ideas. Suresh Iyengar shows his readers the steps they need to take to grow professionally, and as a small business owner, I used one of his suggestions immediately. I recommend the book to business owners and anyone interested in entrepreneurship, as The Business That Runs on Its Own may help them as they set short and long-range goals for their businesses.
