In this story, we meet David and Emily, a brother and sister who are anxiously awaiting Christmas and the celebration of Jesus’ birth. It is Christmas Eve and the children are excited to go outside and play in the freshly fallen snow. After making snow angels, David and Emily are captivated by special messengers from heaven. The two learn about the joyful and triumphant celebration that takes place in heaven to honor the birth of Jesus and discover how they can help to be a part of this significant and special day. The wonder and peace of Christmas are shared in this delightful story.

The Christmas Snow Angels by Marcela Brué-Lotz is an enchanting story that highlights the true meaning of Christmas. Brué-Lotz’s beautiful illustrations, along with a recipe for sugar cookies, capture the warmth and coziness of the holiday season. This is a wonderful book for children and their families to read together as important moments from the night Jesus was born are shared in a clear and simple way that will be easy for children to understand. This story encourages children to have hope and to believe in the wonder of Jesus’ birth. The angels let children know that magical things can happen on Christmas Eve. I think this story may inspire many children to make snow angels on Christmas Eve as they watch and wait for a miracle.

The Christmas Snow Angels is a holiday-themed picture book for children written and illustrated by Marcela Brué-Lotz. What could be better than a snowy day? A snowy Christmas Eve, of course. Emily and David were so excited about Christmas and the fact that Santa would be coming that evening. They knew that Christmas was about much more than Santa Claus and presents, however; it was the birthday of Jesus Christ. As the snow began to fall more and more heavily, David asked their parents if they could go outdoors and play in the snow. Once they were dressed, they ran out and gazed at the snow which seemed to glisten and glow in the moonlight. Then, they decided to make snow angels, and carefully lying down in the snow, they moved their legs and arms up and down. Standing up again, they admired the angels they had created. But, wait! Something was happening with their snow angels -- they were glowing. What could be happening?

Marcela Brué-Lotz’s religious picture book for children, The Christmas Snow Angels, reminds children and caregivers of the real reason for the season -- celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. The author’s story is enchanting and magical as Emily's and David’s snow angels turn into real live angels. Brué-Lotz’s snow scenes build up the excitement of the story, and the recitation of the sacred birth is enhanced by the panel showing the Christmas Star shining down upon the children’s snow angels. The Christmas Snow Angels is highly recommended.

The Christmas Snow Angels by Marcela Brué-Lotz is an adorable children's book that focuses on the true meaning of Christmas - the birth of Jesus Christ and the angels' celebration of the miraculous event. Emily and David are so excited for Christmas Eve, and when it begins to snow outside, they decide to go out and play. They lie in the snow next to one another and make beautiful snow angels. Suddenly, a big star appears in the sky and shines down upon the snow angels, spreading a sort of magic that brings the snow angels to life. Emily and David talk with their new angel friends about Jesus' birthday and their special celebration of it. This short children's story is sure to entertain children and warm their hearts in anticipation of the Christmas season.

I found this book to be extremely light-hearted and sweet while also focusing on such an important message. The real meaning of Christmas is Jesus' birth, and while gifts, family, and great food can be fun as well, Jesus should be the focus of the Christmas season. I think Marcela Brué-Lotz did a lovely job illustrating each page and writing a captivating story that children are sure to love. The Christmas Snow Angels is a book that I think could really resonate with both parents and their children and result in a great discussion about Christmas. I would recommend this book to others and applaud Marcela Brué-Lotz for crafting such a great story for children!
