They have been writing together since 2006 and have produced two novels, "The Quest for Nobility" and "The Crystal Facade" in the Rule of Otharia series and two novelettes, 'Path to Destruction" and "The Right Path" in the Dark Future Series. Dyla Telkur, the twin sister of Darius Telkur, keeps having visions. They are always the same, but each time a little more is revealed. Now she, Eclear (her lover), and Catiana Spencer (an earthling) will have to travel to earth. The distant planet has been quarantined for massacring a previous expedition of their people. Together they have to find clues of this dream’s meaning for their kingdom.
The twins are uniquely blessed with advanced psychic abilities that hopefully will help them discover what is wrong in their world. Darius’ telepathic ability rivals his sister’s empathic skills, a skill that will be tested time and time again.
For his part Éclair Jortac is the best telekinetic in their world. Catiana Spencer is a Professor of Archeology at a university in London, Earth specializing in Arthurian and Druidic lore. Cat, for short, is transported to their universe when they are trapped in a room filling with water that will kill them in moments. They might have left her, and no one on Earth would know of their existence, but that is not their way. Instead they save her life and transport her to their planet.
The planet of Otharia is divided into Duchies; each Duchy has a Duke at the head of government. At the top of the pyramid are the Duchies of Vogdo, Telkur and Jortac. However, one of them is not happy with his place in the circle of life and wants to take matters into his own hands.
It was a pleasure to read this book. I had a hard time turning the pages. The authors did a great job with the power hungry plot and the unique and charming characters. The writing is clear and easy to follow. This book will be well received by many fantasy lovers. There is occasional unnecessary swearing. To me just because a person is poor doesn’t mean they lack education or manners. There are also a few words missing here and there, one quite close to the beginning (page 2 or 3.) Another editing would tremendously bolster the readability of an otherwise really good story.
