Author Biography

Janiece E. Adams writes fictional fun books to make kids smile and feel good about themselves. She started writing and illustrating at an early age and hopes to continue to write fun stories about friends, even if they spread their sauce everywhere. She will continue to write these stories and hopefully publish more.
Janiece is an illustrator for her mother's children's books about The Underground Toy Society. She loves to read and every time she goes to the library she gets out more books than she can handle. Going to the library inspired her to write her own books. One time she was drawing the funny foods characters and her mom came over and said, "You should put those characters in a book," so she did!

The Funny Foods Best Friends by Janiece E Adams is an educational picture book for young children. Peppsie the Pizza desperately wants to find a friend and he sets out on a mission to find one. He approaches some flowers, and even the sun, and asks if they would be his friends. They all say no, leaving Peppsie feeling hopeless. Whilst sitting alone on a bench, an orange named Rolly sits beside him and asks why he is sad. Peppsie is in luck, as Rolly is the head of "The Friend Finding Committee" and offers to help him. Peppsie meets the other members and learns a lot about how to make friends. What did Peppsie learn? And how many friends do you think he made?

The Funny Foods Best Friends was a pleasure to read. The talented young author Janiece E Adams has created a beautiful story based on making friends. Janiece has told her story through the unique character of Peppsie the Pizza. The young reader will be hooked from the moment they are introduced and will enjoy reading about his journey of finding a friend. Children can struggle to find friends for many reasons, and that is why I'm glad books like this exist. I was impressed with Adams's work and I can't wait to see what she comes up with next. Keep up the good work, Janiece, your beautiful words will help children all over the world.
