"The Kindling Muse" serves up some real action from the paranormal and fantasy with its roots in Greek mythology. This story is a teen girl’s dream! Imagine an ordinary teenage girl who leads a simple life in a foster home but is haunted with strange reoccurring dreams. All of a sudden mysterious people begin to enter her life, including one particular mysterious woman who will offer her a ticket to paradise. However, all is not what is seems. Addie accepts an offer to a high end private school where she encounters the world of the paranormal. Here she oddly becomes a ‘Golden Girl’ and receives special treatment. She finds happiness amidst all the strange teens and teachers in this school. She finds her true love and is at the top of her game until she uncovers a dark secret of Greek Academy where she must deal with superhuman mythical creatures. Her world comes crashing down on her and she is faced to conquer its evil. She discovers a secret about herself as she is tied to some of this mystical society. She is transformed to discover a new Addie and rescue the love of her life. Be prepared - it has a shocking end that will leave you startled, but not surprised!
Chelsey Guy pulls many tricks out of her bag in this one. She did her homework on Greek Mythology well. It is a sure page turner as you constantly find yourself engulfed in Addie’s world along with her. This book will appeal to teen girls as well as adults.
