I put off buying a book on this subject for years. Yes, I am a procrastinator. Not all the time. I’m very punctual about a lot of things, especially the necessary things of daily life. But when it comes to writing, I find myself procrastinating so much that I get angry at myself. So when I got a chance to read The Lazy Way to Overcome Procrastination in Five Easy Steps (but some are hard) by Dr. Christian Heim I jumped on it. I figured I have everything to gain and nothing to lose. I was right, and I have already made some small gains in the right direction. For example, I know a lot more about procrastination now. By that I mean I know what it is, and where it comes from, and most of all I know I’m not alone in my frustration in dealing with it.
The Lazy Way to Overcome Procrastination in Five Easy Steps is an awesome book. I think it is pure genius. The first reason I say this is the size. I imagine there is a lot more information that Dr. Heim could have put into this book, but, honestly, keeping it under a hundred pages was one way to ensure I would read it. The second sign of genius in the writing of this book is putting the word 'Lazy' in the title. I needed to see that. If I can’t put these steps to work quickly and easily, I will just keep putting them off. The writing is straight to the point. The suggestions are sound and the book is very well organized.
