A consortium of scientists has discovered several ways of slowing down the aging process. The backers have invited some of the wealthiest people in the world to attend an event in which everything is revealed. The only two catches are that the scientists are being held against their will, and some people who attended last year’s event are dead or dying. Alton and Mallory Blackwell have been approached to help catch the mastermind behind it all and close the consortium down. His best friend’s daughter, newly graduated FBI agent Mastana, and her policeman boyfriend Kevin go undercover to join the event and try to get inside information. Can the team figure out who’s behind it all and prevent any deaths this time around? Read Steven F. Freeman’s The Methuselah Project to find out.
The Methuselah Project is book 15 of the Blackwell Files series. As a fan of the series, I’ve enjoyed watching the character development and was thrilled to see Mastana at the front and center of the action. New readers of Steven F. Freeman’s work can read this as a stand-alone novel as he cleverly refers back to previous books, just enough so the reader doesn’t feel lost. This is an exciting adventure from the opening paragraph, and I promise that the reveal of the criminal mastermind will shock every reader. Like the others in the series, The Methuselah Project is a page-turner from beginning to end, and I love the teaser for book 16. Fans of action-adventure style thrillers with a touch of medical marvel will enjoy this book the most.
