With colorful illustrations, Deano Jones presents this mesmerizing children's story, No Fence Can Hold Him. Two little goat siblings, a brother and a sister, roamed freely in a lush green field until one day the sister just disappeared. The little goat stopped running after his sister went missing. He eventually found a decrepit old house inhabited by vultures and chose to live there. He didn't trust humans and ran away whenever they offered him food. One day, however, a man came, put a bowl of food in front of him, and walked away. Every day, the man would set a bowl for Frank the goat. After getting a taste of the outside world, Frank finally found a home for himself, built by the same man who set out bowls of food for him.

No Fence Can Hold Him is emotionally captivating and very rewarding by the end. Based on a true story, this children's picture book will delight both young and older readers. Deano Jones has crafted a heartwarming narrative that I found really absorbing from start to finish. Although it's a short story, it lingers in your mind long after you've finished reading. I kept wondering what might be going on with Frank right now. Jones' engrossing narrative will evoke a lot of emotions in readers, especially those who feel a sense of close affinity with animals. I also felt the author's artwork was stellar in the book. The storytelling gets a big boost from the colorful illustrations that breathe life into the characters. They made the book even more enjoyable for me. I suggest parents read this together with their children.
