Did you know that jellyfish's bodies are 98% water? Or the fact that 70% of our own body mass is water? Why is ice lighter than liquid water? In The Mystery of Water, physicist Dr. Johanna Blomqvist offers readers a range of varied perspectives on the element of water. Water is one of the oldest symbols of human civilization, embedded in the folklore of different cultures across the world. In this book, Dr. Blomqvist explores the many mysteries and myths associated with water. Beginning with an in-depth explanation of its molecular structure, she takes a deep dive into water as a concept through spiritual, cultural, mythological, astrological, and natural science lenses. The author also shares her insights on the interpretation of water in dreams and creation myths.

The Mystery of Water is one of the most unique and interesting books I've read this year. It's thought-provoking and really makes you wonder about something that has been part of all our lives forever. After reading this book, you will start to see water in a new light. Dr. Johanna Blomqvist shares her own experiences with water and provides thorough, logical descriptions of her concepts, whether they are rooted in religion, philosophy, science, or even mythology. This is why I think this book will appeal to a broad audience, religious, irreligious, and skeptics alike. The author has an engaging way of presenting her observations, which makes the book even more accessible to readers. I was very much invested in it and learned quite a few new facts about water. It's an informative and absorbing book that I recommend to everyone.
