The Orbriallis Institute: Lost Grove is a work of fiction in the thriller, mystery, and crime genres, and is the suspenseful conclusion to the award-winning first part of the story. The work is best suited to adult readers as it contains some strong language and descriptions of grisly crime scenes. Penned by author duo Charlotte Zang and Alex J. Knudsen, the Orbriallis Institute stands as a mysterious beacon of medical innovation in the haunted town of Lost Grove. Dr. Neil Owens is both revered and feared for his obsession with human genetics. Sergeant Seth Wolfe investigates the death of Sarah Elizabeth Grahams, leading him into the institute's secrets. Local teens also search for answers about a missing boy and the ominous Green Man. As deception and danger mount, Seth must uncover the truth before it's too late.

Author team Charlotte Zang and Alex J. Knudsen have crafted another chilling novel to perfectly complement the first half of their superb thriller tale. The atmosphere of Lost Grove, with its ancient redwoods and perpetual mist, created a perfect backdrop for the unfolding mystery, with atmospheric language keeping us totally immersed. The character of Dr. Neil Owens was both fascinating and terrifying, embodying the fine line between scientific genius and madness with some brilliant speech and thought presentation. The narrative surrounding Sergeant Seth Wolfe and his determined quest for the truth was also powerful, making him a compelling protagonist with attitudes that were constantly challenged and reshaped by an engaging plot. There’s also a layer of youthful determination as we contrast Seth’s journey with a younger perspective, and the constant sense of dread and the meticulous unraveling of secrets amongst the ensemble cast kept me on edge. Overall, I would certainly recommend The Orbriallis Institute: Lost Grove as a captivating and thought-provoking read that fans of the first book will adore.

The Orbriallis Institute by Charlotte Zang and Alex J. Knudsen is part two of the Lost Grove series. The Orbriallis Institute stands on the edge of Lost Grove, an imposing structure with plenty of secrets. Dr. Neil Owens is the king of the Institute, on a never-ending obsessive quest to delve into genetics. Sergeant Wolfe has an unexplained death on his hands – Sarah Elizabeth Grahams, who spent time at the Institute. As Seth is drawn toward the Institute in his bid to find her killer, the local teens take matters into their own hands. But their journey is dangerous as they uncover secrets no one was meant to find and the only person they can trust is Seth Wolfe. Can they solve Sarah’s murder? What’s really going on at the Orbriallis Institute? And did it have anything to do with a young boy’s disappearance?

The Orbriallis Institute by Charlotte Zang and Alex J. Knudsen concludes the Lost Grove series. I read the first book, and this is just as gripping and eerie. It’s a story that will keep you hooked, reading until the very last page as your mind begs for the answers to the mysteries in this book and the unanswered ones from the first part. It is action-packed all the way, with plenty of spooky twists and turns to keep you invested. The character development is second to none as the characters from the first book continue to evolve. If you like eerie supernatural/horror stories with plenty of twists and mystery, this is the book for you but it should not be read as a standalone – it is part of a series that should be read in order. Another fantastic offering from two clearly talented authors and incredibly enjoyable.

The Orbriallis Institute: Lost Grove, Part Two is a mystery by Charlotte Zang and Alex J. Knudsen. After Sarah Graham's body was discovered on Mourner's beach, her remains were arranged to point toward the Orbriallis Institute, and Sergeant Seth Wolfe turned his inquiry into her death toward the institute. Nettie identified Raymond LaRange, known as the Green Man, as the person behind her brother's disappearance, and she and her teenage friends set out on a mission to discover the truth. These adolescent friends discovered that Raymond was taken to the Orbriallis Institute after being committed for psychological observation, and they decided to share this knowledge with Sergeant Seth. Seth started a dangerous investigation into the boy's disappearance and the death of Sarah, and all clues pointed to the institute.

Charlotte Zang and Alex J. Knudsen's The Orbriallis Institute: Lost Grove, Part Two was a fascinating and intricate read. It moved quickly with all the turns and twists, and I never knew what would come next. I was in suspense and kept on the edge of my seat during this page-turner. I was too scared to put the book down for even a minute for fear of missing something. The characters were authentic and relatable. Only her friends listened to Nettie when she insisted that the Green Man was to blame for her brother's disappearance and made an effort to learn the truth. This well-written story includes murder, betrayal, mystery, and obsession, and a number of the subplots come together seamlessly. The ending was superb, and it exceeded my expectations by far.
