Virginia isn’t able to leave Totoba without saving the man she’s come to love. Despite knowing that he’s not the innocent man she once knew, she is certain he can’t be all bad either. As a failed Black Force, he has some amends to make to the Blue Force, which makes it nearly impossible for Virginia to figure out how to get to him. But with the help of some old friends like Matt and Derik, as well as some new friends like Assa (the Blue Force), she will have to face off against evil. It’s difficult to say if she will ever be able to save Nick from the evil and darkness that has come down on him, but she will not stop until she’s done everything she can. The Retribution is coming for Virginia and Nick as well.
The Retribution by Maggie Allen is the conclusion of the story of Virginia’s love of Nick and the country of Totoba. I was interested to find out how the story would end and I must say I was not disappointed. Each of the characters seemed to grow over the course of the book (and the series). They also still had great personalities and ways of evolving. I really loved the book and would recommend it to all. There’s plenty of action, adventure and romance throughout and the characters will keep you guessing. This book is a great ending to a story that took place over a number of years.
