The Seeker Must Awaken by Willow Renner is a magical tale of a young girl named Alexa. Alexa lives in a small town in Ohio with her grandmother. Her parents died in a car crash ten years ago. Or so she thinks. Now Alexa isn’t so sure. Lately she has been having stranger dreams than normal. She has always had strange dreams and nightmares since her parents died, but now they were becoming worse, and more real. Always the same dream of Alexa sneaking out of the castle, away from her stepmother Sorcha and away to her lover Quinn. Lately the dreams have been more vivid and now she discovers that her life in the dreams is real. Only Sorcha isn’t her stepmother; she’s an evil empress who trapped her parents, the queen and prince of Venestria, in time and she wants to steal the magic that Alexa has. Will Alexa be able to save her kingdom and defeat the evil empress? Or will she die trying?
I absolutely loved The Seeker Must Awaken by Willow Renner. I was actually sad when it ended. It is a fantastic story and the plot twists kept me reading until the end. I am anxiously waiting until the second book comes out. I would love to find out what is in store for Alexa. It was really easy to connect with her and I felt as though I was right there with her in her adventure. I could feel the love she has for Quinn and almost found myself crushing on the imaginary character. Being able to bring a book like this to life is an incredible talent. I look forward to the next book in the series.
