The Storm of the Revenant by Woody R Clermont is the second book in The Breaking of Harmony Trilogy. It is a story about Kael Virethorn, a warrior who carries a sword named Black Betty. Kael visits a corrupt city in the desert named Ktesara to start life afresh. Kael joins a mercenary squad named Hell's Company, but he is different because he has a conscience. He refuses to harm people and also protects a little girl during a riot. After this, he is seen as a threat, and his corrupt officers trick him. He is buried alive six feet under, in a lead coffin. Will Kael survive this?
The Storm of the Revenant by Woody R Clermont is a fantastic book. I like that the author's writing is interesting, and he made sure it has a lot of action and is fast-paced. While reading, I was eager to find out who the Revenant is and what the sword Black Betty represents. I like the different personalities of characters like Captain Elric Khol, Schuykill Scorn, and Jorek Vann. Kael was my favorite because of his kind heart and the sacrifices he made in this story. The author making Kael lose a piece of his memory whenever he uses his power is interesting. This book is a good fit for teens and adults and has important themes like justice and determination. It also shows how destructive betrayal can be. I can't wait to read what happens in the next book in the series.
