The way the author described the circumstances of each dog had me longing to adopt them myself to give them the family each one desperately needed. I could not help but be truly relieved at the new life each rescue organization was able to provide. The author did an amazing job of mixing humor and photographs into the book to add both levity and insight into the rescue situations. I enjoyed the way the author shared the mishaps that occurred along the way and did not try to make it seem as if each dog was rescued and then magically lived happily ever after but instead showed the effort it took to get each dog to its happy life. I found this book to be inspiring as after reading it I feel that I would like to be a part of a rescue organization as either a volunteer or as an adopter!
