The Tall Tall Giraffe by Le'Marqunita Lowe is the cute little story of Ringo the giraffe. Ringo is very tall and he finds it impossible to play indoors. James comes up with the idea that they should play outdoors, have a picnic on the grass, and go on a nature walk. But Ringo thinks it would not be possible for him to sit on the ground with his tall neck. James encourages Ringo to shake the apples using his long neck so that they fall. As the story progresses, we see Ringo overcoming his anxiety of having a long neck and being able to do things which he never thought possible.
The story is adorable and will put a smile on the faces of young readers. It makes children look at the positive side of things and appreciate what they have. The illustrations are full of life and they give pace and fluidity to the story, scenes and characters. Children will love the characters of Ringo and James. James trying to help Ringo overcome his anxiety and have fun with his long neck is indeed very delightful and interesting. The book is good for bedtime story-telling and parents and grandparents can read it out to their kids and grandkids. The book is also good for read aloud sessions in classrooms and school libraries.
