The book follows Rosteval and Ghaitta as they are forced to lead their people out of their homeland when the threat of an enemy army makes survival impossible. Trying to survive in the midst of a celestial war that threatens to claim the entire world, the only chance of survival for them and their people is to find a third option.
I'm always thrilled to review the work of an accomplished and highly engaging author, and once again I find myself getting completely lost in a fantasy world of incredible depth as Rosteval and Ghaitta face a challenge like none they’ve overcome so far. Author Michael R. Schultheiss has no shortage of exciting narrative beats to continue his protagonists' journey, using an intriguing premise to push their development in new and exciting directions. The series continues to earn its right to the “epic” part of epic fantasy with stakes higher than they’ve ever been as the only hope of salvation for an entire people is to find a third option in a situation with only two choices. Overall, every chapter of The Third Way of My God found new thrills and twists to keep the reader hooked on the story right up until the end, and fans of the fantasy genre are sure to find an unforgettable journey within these pages.
